How it works

How Kalivar works.

From posting a case to the introduction — the full loop, and what it costs along the way.

01

Post the case

Fill in a short form: case type, clinical narrative, specialty, urgency (Standard or Rush), and how many opinions you want. The narrative is anonymized before any expert sees it — clinician, facility, and patient names are stripped. Your name is never disclosed to experts. Flag a case as Rush for accelerated review at 2× standard fees.

02

Match

Publishing triggers our matching engine, which notifies the strongest-fit experts first — top scorers in your specialty who are currently available. If we need more opinions after a few hours, we widen the pool. Experts are scored on specialty match, response rate, response time, and opinion quality. No human curation delay.

03

Read and decide

Opinions arrive as structured clinical commentary, each under an anonymous handle. You see relevant credentials — years in practice, board certifications, sub-specialties, prior expert work — but not names. Ask follow-up questions in the case thread; the expert can answer or pass. When the case closes, you're billed only for the opinions that arrived.

04

Request introduction

Click "Request introduction" on any supporting opinion. The expert reviews for conflicts and either declines or confirms. If they confirm, contact details are released to both sides. The intro fee is one-time; whatever you and the expert agree to after — retainer, hourly rates, deposition work — is off-platform, and Kalivar takes no percentage. You can also skip the case loop and request a direct introduction from the roster.
